Mission

Jane Barbe started out as a performance group in the Chicago comedy scene.  It didn't take long before the members discovered that their true passion was making movies! While they focus on filmmaking now, they never lost the spirit and camaraderie of their comedy roots. The Jane Barbe mission is to provide video content that captures the identity of the client while fully engaging their target audience through comedy, emotion, and quality cinematography - and most importantly to have fun doing it. 

Who is Jane Barbe?

"We're sorry. Your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please check the number and dial again..." Does this sound familiar? It does, doesn't it? The voice that you heard on most of your calls since the 60s is the voice of Jane Barbe. Jane was a voice actor behind the scenes but heard by everyone, which is why we chose our name. Jane Barbe Productions is behind the curtain, as well; we want our clients to be the ones seen and heard through the projects we help them create. 

Matthew Mahaffey

Matt Mahaffey is an award winning Director and Cinematographer from Baltimore, Maryland. He has spent years directing and filming commercials, web series, pilots, short films, and features for businesses and performers across the US. Now he is living his dreams as the Co-Founder and Director of Jane Barbe Productions.

Jesse Kendall

Jesse Kendall is from Baltimore, Maryland. He came to Los Angeles by way of Chicago to pursue a career in comedy and acting, and he has picked up a love for shooting and editing along the way. Jesse has a very intuitive eye for editing and design, and he prides himself on his ability to tie music into his visuals. His background in on-screen acting makes him very familiar with directing and managing a set, and he is thrilled to be a Co-Founder of Jane Barbe Productions. 

Jordan Wilson

Jordan Wilson is a native Chicagoan producer, writer and performer.   Jordan studied film and music at Colorado College where he won Best Film in the Colorado College Film Festival.  He has authored, produced and performed in shows all over Chicago with works and appearances at iO, Second City, The Annoyance and the Goodman Theater.  Jordan is thrilled to bring his producorial acumen to the talented team of Jane Barbe and all their incredible video work.
